Last Known Browse Path Not Saving Upon Uploading Documents

When using some versions of Internet Explorer, the last directory you browsed to in order to upload documents is not saving when uploading documents again.  This is because some versions of Internet Explorer, by default, do not have permissions to access the last used directory.  In order to make this feature work in Internet Explorer, you need to add the website's URL address to your Internet Explorer "Trusted Sites".  Below are the instructions for accessing the "Trusted Sites" section of Internet Explorer using version 11.  The path may vary depending on the version of Internet Explorer you are using.  If the instructions below do not access this area on your version of IE, you can go to www.google.com and search "adding a website to Internet Explorer (insert your version here) Trusted Sites".

  1. Open Internet Explorer and then access your CMS site (do not log in).

  1. Next, select "Internet Options" either from the drop-list accessed under the "Tools" menu bar button or the drop-list located under the "tools" cog icon beneath the X button.

  1. From the "Internet Options" pop-up window, select the "Security" tab.

  1. Then, click on the "Trusted sites" icon and then click on the "Sites" button.

  1. From the "Trusted sites" pop-up window, you should see the CMS website URL address displayed within the "Add this website to the zone:" field.  If it is not displayed, please start the steps over again.

  2. If it is displayed, click the "Add" button.

  1. The CMS website URL address should now be listed within the "Websites" field.

  2. Ensure that the "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" checkbox is not selected.

  1. Click the "Close" button.

  2. Click the "OK" button on the "Internet Options" window.

Internet Explorer should now retain the last location/folder directory that you previously selected when uploading documents.
