When creating claims in ClickClaims, an optional setting is available with the XactAnalysis EDI enabling you to specify a type of loss code and description by associating the ClickClaims peril with a XactAnalysis (XA) code and optional description.

These values may vary between XactAnalysis customers. Below is the standard list from Xactware. It is strongly recommended that you verify what codes/descriptions are in your XactAnalysis data set before configuring the perils in ClickClaims.

1. To associate these values in ClickClaims, an authorized user can use the "Peril" field's list manager and enter the desired XA type of loss code and description.  If you enter only a type of loss code and no description for a peril, the code will be sent to XA with the description omitted.
2. When exporting claims from ClickClaims to XA, if the claim doesn't have a peril, or if the peril is not associated with a XA type of loss code, the default type of loss code is "OTHER" and the description "otherCause" is used.
