Multi-factor Authentication, or MFA, provides a second layer of security to the ClickClaims login process for added data protection. In addition to requiring the typical username and password login, an authentication code is also required to verify your identity before you’re able to successfully access the site. Any time you log in to ClickClaims from an IP address not associated with your user profile, you will be required to enter an MFA code.
- Once you log into ClickClaims using your username and password credentials, the "Multi-factor Authentication" displays and an email containing the authentication code is sent to the primary email address associated with your user record.
2. Enter the authentication code, located within the email, into the field in ClickClaims and click "Verify Code".
- If you've never logged into ClickClaims before, you will not be required to enter an MFA code on your first login attempt.
- If you've reset your password, you will not be required to enter an MFA code when logging in after the password is reset.
- If your account has been deactivated due to failing to enter a valid MFA code after the maximum number of attempts (5 by default), you will be notified to contact your ClickClaims administrator. An email is sent to notify the administrator that your account is locked and the administrator must activate your account before you can attempt to login and enter a new MFA code.
- If you do not enter the correct MFA code within the allotted amount of time (15 minutes by default) or you do not receive the MFA code email, you can choose to have the code sent via email again by selecting the "Email me a code" .
- If the correct MFA code is entered, you'll be advanced into ClickClaims.
