R.2021-02 Release Notes

Enhancements and New Features

“Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)” Feature:

  • ClickClaims now supports multi-factor authentication (MFA) as an optional security feature to keep your user accounts secure. In addition to requiring a username and password, a numeric code, sent to the user’s primary email address, will be required to access ClickClaims. Site administrators can enable MFA for each user account.

Changes

“Mobile UI” Feature:

  • If your company utilizes the “Mobile UI” feature of ClickClaims, but not the “Financials” feature, users with access to the mobile version of ClickClaims can now set/edit claim limits, reserves, and indemnity from the claim record’s “Policy” button.
  • If your company utilizes both the “Mobile UI” and “Financials” features of ClickClaims, users with access to the mobile version of ClickClaims can no longer change the reserve amount from the claim record’s “Reserves” button when a reserve change is already pending for that claim. This is because any change they make cannot be saved until that pending request is first approved/denied.
  • The claim’s “Reserves” button has been relabeled to “Policy” in the mobile version of ClickClaims when the “Financials” feature isn’t enabled.

Inside Claim Record – “Cause of Loss Code” and “Line of Business Code”:

  • You can capture the “Cause of Loss Code” from the claim’s “Summary” tab by enabling an optional setting now available in ClickClaims. This field’s listed options (as configured by an administrator) are based on the value chosen in the “Peril” field. You can locate claims via the “Cause of Loss Code” searchable field found under “Advanced Search” on the “Claim Search” and “Claim Reporting Search” pages and add it as a column to any view of the “Claim List” and “Claim Reporting Grid” pages for reporting purposes. This setting is disabled by default and must be configured by E-Claim.
  • You can capture the “Line of Business Code” from the claim’s “Policy” tab by enabling an optional setting now available in ClickClaims. The value selected in this field (options configurable by an administrator) determines the options available to users in the claim’s “Policy Type” field. You can locate claims using the “Line of Business Code” searchable field found under “Advanced Search” on the “Claim Search” and “Claim Reporting Search” pages and add it as a column to any view of the “Claim List” and “Claim Reporting Grid” pages for reporting purposes. This setting is disabled by default and must be configured by E-Claim.

Inside Claim Record – “State of Filing” and “Cargo Type”:

  • Added a “Litigation” fieldset to the claim’s “Review” tab which contains a new “State of Filing” field listing all US states (including the District of Columbia) so you can now capture that information on the claim. You can also add the “State of Filing” column to the “Default View” of the “Claim List” and “Claim Reporting Grid” pages for reporting purposes.
  • Added a “Cargo Type” field within the vehicle record of the “Vehicles” claim tab. You can also add the “Cargo Type” column to the “Default View” of the “Claim List” and “Claim Reporting Grid” pages for reporting purposes. The “Vehicles” claim tab is only available when utilizing the “Vehicle” feature in ClickClaims.

Claim Documents – Preset Description:

  • If you have the ability to upload and/or edit claim documents, ClickClaims can now be configured by E-Claim (upon request by an authorized contact) to give you a choice of selecting a description from a preset list of options (created and maintained by a site administrator via a list manager), manually entering the document description, or both – choosing from a preset description and manually adding to it for further details.
  • If the “Preset Document Description” setting is enabled, Owner and Administrator users can build and maintain the list of descriptions from the “Pick Action” button on the claim’s “Documents” tab or from the “List Managers” page found under “Tools”.

Inside Claim Record – 7 New Claim Flags on “Review” Tab:

  • You can now capture claim attributes for “Alleged Bad Faith”, “Alleged Violation of State DTPA”, “Demand in Excess of Policy Limits”, “Total Roof Replacement”, “Sworn POL Request Sent”, “Sworn POL Received”, and “LWD Endorsement” using the new flags on the claim’s “Review” tab.
  • You can also search and report on claims based on the configuration (Yes/No/Null) of any of these flags from the “Claim Search” and “Claim Reporting Search” pages using the “Dynamic Flag” search field, add them as a column to the “Claim List” and “Claim Reporting Grid” pages from the “Default View” or “Claim Flags View”, add as a replacement field to your form letter or email template, and/or add as a widget to your ClickClaims Dashboard.
  • A site administrator can manage claim flags in ClickClaims, as needed, to mark them as active or inactive depending on your company’s needs.

Manage Users:

  • Added a “Mobile Only” searchable field to the “User Search” page and a “Mobile Only” secondary column to the “User List” page so that those with the ability to manage user records can now locate and run reports on those records based on the configuration of the user’s “Mobile Only” special permission setting. “Mobile Only” is only available when utilizing the “Mobile UI” feature in ClickClaims.

Manage System Emails:

  • Added filtering capability to the “Cc Adjuster 2” and “Cc Adjuster 3” columns so you can now filter the data under those columns when working within the “Manage System Emails” page accessed from the “Tools” menu bar button.

Corrections

Inside Claim Record – Editing Contact on “Contacts/Claimants” Tab:

  • You can no longer change the sub-type to “Co-Insured” on an “Insured” contact record if it already has reserves set.  Attempting to do so will now result in a validation message.

Inside Claim Record – Managing Claim Tasks:

  • Fixed a bug that potentially could have permitted you to cancel an open claim task even when your user account wasn’t associated to the Owner, Administrator, or Claim Supervisor user role.
  • Fixed a bug which could allow you – if you’re authorized to update the status of an open task - to choose the “Incomplete - File Closed” status.  This status is automatically set on applicable open tasks by ClickClaims at claim closure only if the “Automatically Close Claim Tasks Upon File Closure” site setting is enabled for ClickClaims.
  • Fixed a bug which caused “Incomplete – File Closed” to display under the status filter section of the “Task” page even when the “Automatically Close Claim Tasks Upon File Closure” site setting is disabled for ClickClaims.

Inside Claim Record – Latency Adding/Editing Tasks:

  • Fixed latency issues found when adding or editing task records from the claim’s “Tasks” tab so that process should be much faster for you now.

Vendors – Exporting Vendor Records:

  • Fixed a bug that kept the “Active” column from properly extracting with the grid data when exporting from the “Vendors” page accessed from the “Vendors” menu bar button.
